State Hospital Ventilation Overhaul and Cold-Storage Maintenance

Modernization of a Public Hospital's HVAC Infrastructure

Under the annual contract carried out with Kanuni Sultan Süleyman State Hospital, a comprehensive overhaul and modernization of the HVAC infrastructure was performed at one of Turkey's large-scale public hospitals. The ventilation systems of this facility, which serves thousands of patients a day, must meet extremely high standards in terms of hygiene, air quality and thermal comfort.

Within the ventilation-systems overhaul, aging air handling units and AHU units were examined, and the filter sets and heat-recovery units were renewed. Leak-tightness tests of the air ducts were carried out and the necessary sealing-improvement work was applied. The air-change rates in patient corridors and waiting halls were recalculated, providing a healthier indoor environment quality.

In large-scale public hospitals, a ventilation overhaul is not merely a technical upgrade but also a strategic health investment that helps reduce in-hospital infection rates.

Cold-storage maintenance, repair and installation services were also provided in full under the contract. To protect the cold chain — which is critical in the blood bank, pharmaceutical store and sample-preservation areas — the cooling units are inspected periodically, and the temperature-logging systems and alarm mechanisms are calibrated.
